Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and high-performing Software Engineer to join our team in Destin, FL. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy robust web applications and integration microservices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build high-scale system features, streamline API communication between complex platform architectures, and maintain high standards for code quality and platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across both front-end and back-end platforms.
- API & Systems Integration: Develop and optimize scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs to seamlessly connect third-party platforms and internal CRM/ATS tools.
- Database Architecture: Design data models, write optimized SQL queries, and manage relational and non-relational database structures for performance and reliability.
- Code Review & Quality: Participate actively in code reviews, write comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E), and maintain high continuous integration standards.
- Performance & Scalability: Identify performance bottlenecks, diagnose production issues, and refactor existing systems to support business growth and high concurrent user traffic.
- Collaborative Agile Process: Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and System Administrators in an Agile/Scrum environment to execute sprint goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 3+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-grade applications.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React), Python, C#, or Java.
- Experience building and consuming complex web APIs (REST/GraphQL/SOAP).
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) and caching mechanisms (Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of Version Control using Git and automated CI/CD pipeline workflows.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, logical, and algorithmic problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative team-first mindset.
- Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and technology modernizations.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience developing background job queues, webhook consumers, and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM integrations, or staffing software ecosystems.
- Understanding of security best practices (OWASP top 10, OAuth2, data encryption standards).
