Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Frontend Developer to join our product team in Destin, FL. In this role, you will lead the creation of intuitive, responsive, and highly performant web interfaces for our staffing and recruitment integration software. You will bridge UI/UX designs with technical implementation, translating customer needs into modern, seamless web experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- User Interface Development: Build responsive, accessible, and interactive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and modern CSS architectures.
- UI/UX Implementation: Collaborate closely with UX designers to translate wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes into pixel-perfect user components.
- State Management & Data Integration: Architect efficient frontend data flow and seamlessly integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs into client-side workflows.
- Frontend Performance & Optimization: Optimize application load times, asset bundles, and rendering performance across major web browsers and mobile devices.
- Design Systems & Component Libraries: Maintain and expand our reusable UI component library and design system to ensure visual consistency across product offerings.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write maintainable unit, component, and end-to-end frontend tests (using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.) to ensure high code quality and reliability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design/Interactive Media, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend software development.
Technical Skills
- Strong mastery of HTML5, modern CSS3 (SCSS/Sass, Tailwind CSS, or CSS Modules), and modern JavaScript (ES6+)/TypeScript.
- Deep expertise in a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Pinia, or React Context API).
- Proficiency with web design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) and translating design specs into code.
- Familiarity with frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, Babel) and package managers (npm, yarn, pnpm).
- Solid understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and cross-browser compatibility debugging.
Soft Skills
- Keen eye for visual detail, aesthetics, typography, and micro-interactions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers.
- A user-first mindset focused on simplicity, performance, and intuitive digital experiences.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts) for building interactive dashboards.
- Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and progressive web apps (PWAs).
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or CRM user interfaces.
