Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Machine Operator to join our production team in Destin, FL. In this role, you will set up, maintain, and operate machinery to ensure smooth production operations. You will be responsible for observing equipment performance, performing quality control checks, and troubleshooting minor operational issues to maintain high output efficiency and adhere to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare, calibrate, and operate production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job specifications.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor machine performance during operations, adjusting settings as needed to ensure product quality and output volume.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality inspections on finished goods or parts, using precision measurement tools to verify compliance with tolerances.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment; report major mechanical faults promptly to maintenance staff.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards, and OSHA guidelines to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Documentation & Logging: Record production quantities, downtime reasons, and material usage in daily production logs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience working as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of mechanical principles, basic tool usage, and machine setup/calibration workflows.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Basic computer skills for entering production data into inventory/tracking software.
Physical Requirements & Soft Skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment/materials (up to 50 lbs), and operate manual levers or controls.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and physical dexterity.
  • Good teamwork, attendance, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience operating CNC machinery, automated packaging systems, or specialized industrial equipment.
  • Forklift certification or experience with warehouse material handling equipment.
