Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical healthcare team in Destin, FL. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, direct patient care, conduct clinical assessments, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary medical staff. You will play an essential role in patient advocacy, maintaining clinical safety standards, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Perform comprehensive physical assessments, evaluate patient medical histories, and develop individualized care plans.
Treatment & Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, blood products, IV fluids, and treatments safely according to clinical protocols.
Clinical Monitoring & Response: Continually monitor patient vital signs and clinical conditions; identify and respond swiftly to acute medical changes.
Documentation & EHR: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and healthcare staff to coordinate holistic care plans.
Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions, discharge plans, preventive care, and prescribed medications.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensure
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Florida (or a valid Compact/Multistate RN License).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred/required depending on clinical unit.
Clinical Experience & Skills
1–3 years of clinical experience in an acute care, surgical, ambulatory, or outpatient healthcare facility.
Proficiency in IV insertion, wound care, medication administration, and patient monitoring procedures.
Experience operating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
Physical Requirements & Soft Skills
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, assist with patient movement/transfers, and lift up to 50 lbs.
High degree of empathy, bedside manner, patience, and emotional resilience.
Strong clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and communication skills under high-stress conditions.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Specialty certifications (e.g., PALS, CCRN, CEN, Med-Surg certification).
