Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Destin, FL. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and systems operations, building scalable CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud environments, and ensuring maximum uptime, security, and deployment efficiency across our integration platform.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines across cloud environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and manage multi-cloud infrastructure using automated configuration tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, scale, and optimize containerized microservices utilizing Docker and Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitoring & Observability: Implement robust logging, metrics, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack) to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and system issues.
- Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance safeguards directly into release workflows.
- Site Reliability & Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotation schedules, rapidly resolve infrastructure outages, and perform root-cause analysis (RCA).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation and system tooling.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VPCs, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, TLS/SSL certificates).
Soft Skills
- High operational sense of urgency with a calm, analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent cross-team collaboration skills, acting as a force multiplier for software engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication for creating technical documentation and post-mortems.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator – CKA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate).
- Experience managing high-throughput database clusters (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
