Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and drive-focused Senior Data Scientist based in Destin, FL. In this role, you will lead the development of machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics models, and data pipeline integrations. You will transform complex candidate and recruitment data into actionable insights that optimize hiring metrics, drive revenue growth, and power intelligent matching algorithms for our staffing platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Learning & Modeling: Design, build, evaluate, and deploy scalable predictive algorithms, NLP models, and recommendation engines to enhance candidate-job matching.
- Data Pipeline & ETL: Architect robust data pipelines and feature stores to clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
- Advanced Analytics & Experimentation: Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B experiments to measure feature impact and user conversion metrics.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutions and technical requirements.
- Model Monitoring & Governance: Establish protocols for model performance monitoring, drift detection, continuous training, and ethical AI/data privacy compliance.
- Mentorship: Guide junior data analysts/engineers and cultivate a culture of rigorous, scientific inquiry across the analytics organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in applied machine learning, statistical modeling, and production data science.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python or R, along with standard ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with large-scale data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Hands-on experience deploying ML models to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLM integration, or vector search engines.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) or interactive dashboards (Streamlit, Plotly).
